The 94-year-old hotel, located near Cambodia\u2019s famed ancient Khmer archeological sites, received the honour in the magazine\u2019s May edition. Travel + Leisure<\/em>\u2019s annual \u2018500 Best Hotels<\/a>\u2019 is widely regarded as one of the most coveted distinctions in the global hospitality industry.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Raffles Grand Hotel d\u2019Angkor<\/a> unveiled the immersive new \u2018Grand Path of History\u2019 tour featuring rare photographs, video footage, architectural drawings and other vintage artefacts that highlight a golden age of travel in Southeast Asia. The permanent exhibition is complemented by a new history book, A Tale of Two Hotels \u2013 Raffles in Cambodia<\/em>, which showcases the property alongside Raffles Hotel Le Royal, its sister property in Phnom Penh.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Grand Path of History\u2019 tour and book both trace the early boom years (1900-1940) of international travel, when passengers boarded steamships bound for the East and the first aircraft took to the skies. This latest honour from Travel + Leisure<\/em> follows a series of major global honours.
