The <em>lifestyle midscale hotel<\/em> will be located just an eight-minute walk from Nagoya Station, one of Japan\u2019s most important transport hubs.<\/p>\n<p>The signing represents a key milestone in SONO Hotels &amp; Resorts Asia\u2019 expansion in Japan, reinforcing the group\u2019s strategy to grow in gateway cities through well-positioned assets that combine strong commercial fundamentals with a deep sense of place.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel will be owned by <strong>ESCON JAPAN REIT Investment Corporation (ESCON REIT)<\/strong>, with <strong>Polaris Holdings Co., Ltd. (Polaris)<\/strong>, a listed Japanese hotel company, acting as master lessee. SONO Hotels &amp; Resorts Asia will operate the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Situated at the intersection of Nagoya Station\u2019s ongoing high-rise redevelopment and the historic downtown area centered around Yanagibashi Central Market, the hotel\u2019s location captures both the city\u2019s modern energy and its long-established local culture. As the first SONO Moon property in Japan, the hotel will draw inspiration from the destination\u2019s history, food culture, seasonal festivals, and lesser-known local stories, offering guests a stay that feels distinctly rooted in Nagoya.<\/p>\n<p>Wataru Orii, President and Representative Director of ES-CON ASSET MANAGEMENT Ltd., the asset manager of ESCON REIT, commented: \u201c<em>We are thrilled to have added this hotel, located in an excellent position close to Nagoya Station, to our portfolio.
