Beneath this exterior, though, are all the conveniences needed for survival in the competitive Asian luxury hotel market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 MICHELIN Keys were unveiled globally on Oct. 8. MICHELIN Keys highlight the Guide\u2019s \u201cmost exceptional hotels,\u201d similar to how MICHELIN Stars spotlight the best restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>Raffles Hotel Le Royal, in a separate major honour, was voted the No. 2 hotel in Southeast Asia in the Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler Readers\u2019 Choice Awards 2025, which were announced earlier this month. These are among the most prestigious hospitality awards in the world. Readers also voted Cambodia No. 5 among the \u201cfriendliest countries in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be recognised in the same month by both MICHELIN and Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler \u2013 two of the planet\u2019s top authorities in international travel \u2013 shows that Raffles Hotel Le Royal is truly a world-class destination, celebrated for exceptional hospitality, timeless elegance and an extraordinary guest experience,\u201d Raffles Hotel Le Royal General Manager Dagmar Lyons said.<\/p>\n<p>Raffles Hotel Le Royal, which originally opened in 1929, today features 175 rooms and suites that underwent a full refurbishment as part of a meticulous one-year restoration project in 2019. The hotel\u2019s elegant past has been reinterpreted in a bold, contemporary style that is inspired by French colonial, Khmer and Art Deco influences.<\/p>\n<p>Raffles Grand Hotel d\u2019Angkor opened its doors three years later, in 1932, as a rest stop for archeologists and adventurers exploring the ancient kingdom of Angkor Wat.
