SUNx Malta will host the Third Climate Friendly Travel Youth Summit SEYS 3<\/strong> from Malta, on April 27th 2023<\/strong> from 1500 -1700 CEST<\/p>\n

– To strengthen the \u201cClean & Green\u201d spirit that Maurice Strong showed half a century ago, when he launched the UN Climate & Sustainability Framework.
\n– To highlight the role of young leaders in building a global Climate Friendly Travel System
\n– To re-affirm our Pledge<\/a> to support the World\u2019s Poorest States in Climate Resilience and Emission Reduction.
\n– To launch the 2023 Strong Earth Awards to be presented at \u201cShiftin\u201d Les Roches Switzerland.<\/p>\n

SEYS is an annual tribute to Maurice Strong<\/strong>, climate activist for over 50 years and Secretary General of the first “Earth Summit” in 1972 and second Earth Summit in 1992. The event, organized by SUNx Malta (Strong Universal Network) will highlight the need for a clean and green future<\/strong> for the tourism sector, in accordance with Maurice’s vision, Paris 1.5 and the SDGs.<\/p>\n

\nAll participants will receive electronic copies of the book \u201cRemembering Maurice F. Strong\u201d courtesy of ECPD and the Earth Charter launched by Strong and Mikhail Gorbachev in 2000.<\/em><\/p>\n

SUNx Malta<\/strong> is a legacy for the late Maurice Strong, father of sustainable development. Its goal is to advance Climate Friendly Travel (CFT) ~ Paris 1.5 and SDG linked. SUNx has a core partnership with Malta\u2019s Ministry of Tourism and Malta Tourism Authority, to advance CFT, to create a UNFCCC-linked CFT Registry, and to promote CFT Education. It plans to put in place 100,000 Strong Climate Champions across all UN States by 2030<\/p>\n
