Tralee, Ireland, June 3, 2021 \/ TRAVELINDEX \/ Ranked in the world\u2019s top hotels, third generation hotelier Padraig McGillicuddy and the team at Ballygarry House, are always striving to improve their offering for all guests. As such, they have launched a stunning vision for the property over the next three years.<\/p>\n

Central to this vision is the extension of the hotel grounds to over one hundred and eighty acres, which will realign the hotel as one of Ireland\u2019s leading estate properties.<\/p>\n

This week has seen ground broken on the development of The Lodge, a dedicated on-site wedding ceremony venue styled on a New England Barn. The Lodge will also act as the gateway to the Estate currently being developed. As part of their overall masterplan, Ballygarry House are working in collaboration with Kerry County Council to link into Ballyseedy Woods with two bridges. \u201cWe will have numerous pathways for guests to cycle, run or walk, with benches for a quick rest or just to watch the world go by. As part of our sustainability focus we will neutralise our carbon emissions & treat all waste water simultaneously with our new integrated Wetlands that is ready for the busy season ahead\u201d Padraig mentioned.<\/p>\n

Padraig also commented, \u201cOver the past few years as an industry we have had to become more conscious of our environment and how we treat it as large producers, so we have decided to focus on the sustainability of our business. We are complementing our current offering with the planting
\nof fifteen acres of native woodlands, increasing our bee hives, creating 5km of meandering walkways and aiming to become carbon neutral in the coming year\u201d.<\/p>\n

The last part of the five year plan at Ballygarry House is to build a Thermal Garden as a new addition to N\u00e1d\u00far Spa. With three outdoor hot tubs, a plunge pool, saunas, a steam room, a salt room, seaweed baths, a one hundred metre lake joined with a wildflower meadow & our bee hives. This will be coupled with twenty one new guest rooms to manage increased demand.<\/p>\n

Padraig added \u201cToo many times I\u2019ve seen fragmented developments with no long term vision in our industry. We are setting our plan through collaboration with Kerry County Council, F\u00e1ilte Ireland, market trends, demands, future direction for the industry and our stunning location. With a total investment of over \u20ac5 million in the Estate development plan Ballygarry House is confident of cementing its position as one of Ireland\u2019s top hotels.<\/p>\n
